My name is Cecilia and I am the Vice President of Recruitment for Delta Phi Epsilon's Alpha Gamma Chapter.

Let me tell you a little bit about Alpha Gamma. It is something rare, something that may only cross your path once in your life. This sisterhood has shaped me into the woman I  am becoming, and I could not be happier with who I see in the mirror. It has taught me to accept myself and cherish my value. It's become my safe space in what often times seems like a big, big world. 

I wasn't always that way. When I decided to go through recruitment as a freshman back in Fall 2016, I was not the woman I am today, writing to you all. I had my insecurities, I mean, what girl doesn't? And I still carry those with me. But you see, the difference is, Dphie showed me to embrace and love those insecurities. This is exactly what Delta Phi Epsilon is. It is a loving place where we embrace who we are, despite the things we may not always love about ourselves. It is where we grow, flourish and evolve into the women we were meant to become. Most of all, it is where sisterhood is created, formed and bonded with one another. I can honestly say, that Delta Phi Epsilon embodies the truest of sisterhoods. More so, it has steered me into the right direction and has given me the push that we all sometimes need. I've never encountered something like Alpha Gamma and I don't know if i ever will again, but I am thankful I did because that is what has made my college experience so magical and unforgettable.
